I would like to use DiamondFinish Clear Satin on sandblasted glass sculpture. I will be painting the sculptures with acrylics first, and need a very durable clear coat to protect the paintwork. As far as I can tell, this product does not yellow and is scratch-resistant, correct? What kind of adhesion can I expect over very thin layers of acrylic paint on glass?

Hello, I’m a novice at this. I’ve ordered Diamond Clear and I read the directions online . My question is "when" can it be applied over a Summit Racing Single Stage Acrylic Urethane Paint. Presently I have three color coats on a fiberglass golf cart body. The body was sanded and primed with Eastwood “Contour” polyester primer. Great product. However, I’m not quite happy with the single stage color finish. Hence I ordered your Clear Diamond Coat The color coat has a 15 minute flash time and it recoated nicely. (coat #1, wait 20min. coat #2 wait 20min…) I know that I must sand if the coating has cured. Same with your product. Here’s my question. …

Hi, I received my DFC (Diamond Finish Clear) and have been trying to experiment with brushing it on an old headlight (properly sanded and prepped) I have for headlight lens restoration. I bought the 4oz can to start (with KBS thinner, Paint Saver, and KBS Clean). I first tried brushing it on with a foam brush straight, but predictably it was too thick and dried with waves. I then added up to 1 teaspoon of KBS Thinner to to the (almost) 4oz DFC and mixed it. I then applied it to another section of the headlight. It was better, but still seemed "wavy" and not really optically clear. I guess "thick" would be the problem? I bought a new professional airbrush and I have…

I am using Diamond finish over candy paints and have had a piece in full sun for 4 years, no yellowing , awesome. My question is what protection does Diamondfinish have to protect the product underneath, like paints that may fade in sun, also wanted to put some over the epoxy coating on a Stand Up Paddle board to offer UV protection. Thanks for the reply on the food safe question.

I have the KBS #1 Thinner and a qt of Diamond Finish. I'm only going to use about a quarter of the can but I was wondering if I could go ahead and thin the whole quart and then seal the Diamond Finish? I didn't know if this will effect the Diamond Finish if it sits on the shelf for a couple of months once it's already been thinned.

I build custom tables and I often put printed corporate logos on the table top. I usually seal with a two part epoxy but it is a mess to work with and scratches very easy and yellows over time. The table tops are covered with a maple veneer and I apply one(1) coat of minmax polycrylic to seal the wood and sand with 320. I then apply the printed vinyl logos. Can I use Diamond clear to seal the table top with the logos without causing the ink on the logos to run or peel up? I spray all my stuff with an Earlex 5500 HVLP spray station, will I be able to use this gun to spray Diamond Clear? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. http://www.earlex.com/earle…

Hello, I am interested in coating a bike frame made out of titanium with DiamondFinish. The surface has no paint or anything on it, just bare titanium. 1. Do I need to lightly sand the surface to prep it first? if so, what grit? 2. Since the surface has nothing on it, is the KBS Klean necessary? 3. Does lightly sanding between coats help with bonding strength? or I can skip the sanding? Thanks

Could you tell me if this clear coat would have a bad reaction if painted over cellulose base coat? And also, if painting over fiberglass gel goat, does the gel coat need a really good key to get the clear coat to adhere? I have a large van that I'd like to clear coat but I can't spray where I live, do you think the drying time will allow me to brush paint the large sides given that I'd have to paint section by section if you know what I mean?

I am interested in ordering some of the Diamond Clear. When I open the can how long will the clear coat stay good? Would it last longer if I was to put it into a sealed mason jar? I am just going to be using it to clear coat fishing lures so I would want it to stay good for a long time since I would not be using much at a time.

I'm very happy with the results, using Diamond Clear on a couple of custom signs. I have always tried to do top quality work, but clear coats have failed many times in the past. Yours has worked great so far. The only concern I have is with storage of the unused portion of the quart. Can this be done? My first quart hardened solid in a couple months, despite the lid being on tightly. I had used about half of it. I don't use a lot, and not too often. But I will definitely consider becoming a long-term customer. Most other solvent-based enamels, I can 'drizzle' a thin layer of thinner over the top of the paint, and it will stay liquid. Can I do that with the Diamond C…

I have a leading spray on chrome system. After I spray on the chrome which is silver content they have me use there special clear coat to prevent yellowing. The yellowing comes went the silver/chrome starts to oxidize. They tell me if I use just a a normal automotive clear coat that in like 3 weeks its will turn yellow even tho I applied several coats of Automotive Clear coats. My questions Your Diamond Clear coat does it completely seal what you painted or in my case just chromed that it should seal it from oxidizing. I am aware your clear wont yellow but I have the other issue in prevent the oxidation of the silver/chrome. Thanks
