October 27, 20169 yr comment_3919 I recently used Diamond Finish Clear over an automotive base coat on a bicycle. I have a small area I would like to re-shoot the base coat and blend the DF Clear. What process is used to blend the clear topcoat? October 27, 20169 yr comment_3920 Scuff the area with 800-1000 grit. Clean the area with KBS Klean. Then spray coats of DiamondFinish Clear thinned 30% with KBS #1 Thinner. DiamondFinish Clear can be cut and polished as a normal clear coat after 24 hours under normal conditions. Please let us know if that helps and if you have any additional questions. October 27, 20169 yr Author comment_3921 I will follow your direction on my repair. I have the KBS Kleen and thinner so I am good there. It will be a week or two before I will be making the repair, I will post an update of my results. Thank you!
