Hey guys. Love your restoration products. Hands down the BEST!!! One issue I have is the paint on most of my motorcycle tanks are in great shape. No repainting is going to be done. I need to protect the paint in some way only for the accidental drip or drop of chemicals. Do you recommend any protection methods of the painted surfaces? My thought goes to duck tape. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I bought a motorcycle and am about to clean the gas tank out and seal it. I looked in the tank and it seems to have a lot of rust. But my friend thinks that it also has old sealer or liner on it. My question is, if i use the Strip in the tank and its not lined will it hurt the tank? Also, will the rust that is in the tank affect the ability of the Strip? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I was ready to use KBS 3 step sealer on my tank when I noticed it had been sealed before. Directions say to use KBS Strip (or a paint stripper containing Methylene Chloride) so I quick ran out to the hardware store and none of them contain Methylene Chloride because of an EPA ban. Does KBS Strip still contain this? Is it safe? Is there an effective off the shelf substitute so I don’t have to wait for delivery?

I'm removing the factory undercoating along both sides of the pinch welds on my VW. Pinch welds were bent in places where car was lifted improperly, undercoating peeling, surface rust where the undercoating has cracked. Can I apply the KBS Strip with a small brush so that it is applied in very small areas? What is the best method of neutralizing the surface afterwards to ensure that a new coat of paint won't be affected by any remaining stripper?

Will your company be coming out with other products down the line such as a paint remover? I have never used it so I don't know if it works or not, but I am interested in using something that would be fairly easy to apply and work with. Do you know a product to recommend to remove paint on the interior of a vehicle's metal parts(doors, dash, etc.) This is a 70 Blazer, so doors and dash are metal. Thanks for any help on this.

A failed attempt at using KBS gold for my honda cx500 deluxe tank. It's peeling wildly, so it needs to be stripped out. I tried some acetone with no noticible results on a test piece that I pulled out. I am next going to try KBS strip, but wondering how it works. Is there a max time the stripper can be in the tank? I assume it's like a thick, gel...will it be difficult to get around all the sides? What time window do I have to remove the stripper once it's done it's job. Most importantly, how do I thin down the stripper so it can drain (along with bad sealer) out the 3/8 fuel line hole at the bottom of the tank? How do I clean up when done? is the stripper water solub…

Do I need the kit with the stripper for a carbon fiber tank that has recently sprouted a small leak after 6 years. Bought the tank new and I never sealed it, but would something in it's original construction preclude it to utilize your stripper?

Just as the title says is there anyway to remove RustSeal and/or Blacktop from concrete? When I was painting my frame I got some spots on the concrete and didn't know if there was any known way to remove it. Thanks

I am restoring a 1952 Ford 8N tractor. The stripper does not get all the paint at some locations after a couple of applications. I am assuming this is caused by the large surface profile on the cast iron. Any suggestions? On the pressed steel parts the paint comes off completely.

I've read that many of the sealers can be removed using a stripper or MEKP. Does this apply to the KBS kit also? If not is there a solvent that would be recommended? Thanks
