October 11, 20196 yr comment_4763 I was ready to use KBS 3 step sealer on my tank when I noticed it had been sealed before. Directions say to use KBS Strip (or a paint stripper containing Methylene Chloride) so I quick ran out to the hardware store and none of them contain Methylene Chloride because of an EPA ban. Does KBS Strip still contain this? Is it safe? Is there an effective off the shelf substitute so I don’t have to wait for delivery? October 11, 20196 yr comment_4764 For the next month, KBS Strip does contain Methylene Chloride. After that, KBS Strip will be reformulated and will not contain Methylene Chloride because of the new EPA regulations. What color is the liner that is in the tank now? October 11, 20196 yr comment_4766 That sounds like Kreem. You can use MEK to take that out. Your local hardware store should have that. If not, check your local paint store. Please let us know if that helps and if you have any additional questions. October 11, 20196 yr Author comment_4767 Thank you! Found some MEK at the commercial paint store (hardware stores only carry substitute) and it seemed to be working, until my agitator suffered a catastrophic failure....
