September 25, 20205 yr comment_5213 I bought a motorcycle and am about to clean the gas tank out and seal it. I looked in the tank and it seems to have a lot of rust. But my friend thinks that it also has old sealer or liner on it. My question is, if i use the Strip in the tank and its not lined will it hurt the tank? Also, will the rust that is in the tank affect the ability of the Strip? Any help would be greatly appreciated. September 25, 20205 yr comment_5216 You can use KBS Strip in a tank and it will not hurt the tank if there is not an actual coating in the tank. The rust in the tank will not hinder the effectiveness of the KBS Strip. Tip: When using the KBS Strip, warm the KBS Strip to 80F and have the surface of the tank as close to 80F as possible. The warmer temperatures make the KBS Strip much more effective. Please let us know if that helps and if you have any other questions.
