July 29, 201114 yr comment_2110 Do I need the kit with the stripper for a carbon fiber tank that has recently sprouted a small leak after 6 years. Bought the tank new and I never sealed it, but would something in it's original construction preclude it to utilize your stripper? July 29, 201114 yr comment_2478 If your gas tank is a carbon fiber gas tank with no previous sealer, you do not need the KBS Strip. The KBS Strip Tank Stripper will attack the resin of your carbon fiber tank, so I would not use it unless you were sure you have a previous sealer.
