Can I coat my Plastic Gas Tank with your Tank Sealer To Stop Fuel From Weeping?

Featured Replies

I have a plastic tank that weeps fuel, it seems as if fuel evaporates out of the tank slowly over time. Can I use your products to seal up the tank and stop the fuel from evaporating?

For rigid plastic tanks, our tank sealer products are used to seal the inside of the rigid plastic tank protecting against fuel weeping or leaking from the tank.

Here is the modified Tank Sealer process:

  1. Clean the inside of the rigid plastic tank well with KBS Klean. Rinse. Let Dry. Bone Dry.
  2. Pour an amount of Fusion SEP into the dry tank. Slowly rotate and roll tank until all sides are evenly coated. Patiently work with Fusion SEP for up to 10 minutes. Drain out all excess Fusion SEPFusion SEP is designed to promote adhesion and goes on in a very thin film.
  3. Do Step #3 - Tank Sealer found in the Tank Sealer Directions HERE. Be very careful to avoid letting the Tank Sealer puddle.
