April 26, 20206 yr comment_5131 I know it is best if I get consecutive coats of DiamondFinish Clear on within 8 hours but what happens if that is just not possible? How do I insure that the next coat will adhere to the previous coat? April 26, 20206 yr comment_5132 In general, the next coat of DiamondFinish Clear should adhere extremely well to the previous coat even if it is beyond the 8 hours that we recommend. That said, to be absolutely sure of great adhesion, you can scuff the previous coat lightly with a green scote brite pad or similar, blow off the dust with clean air and then apply your next thin coat of DiamondFinish Clear. Please let us know if that helps and if you have any additional questions.
