May 22, 20178 yr comment_4080 RustBlast is an acid etch (think chemical sandpaper) and aluminum tends to be smooth. So, at a minimum, each side of the inside of the tank should be etched at least 30 minutes using RustBlast. The surface needs to be wet for the entire time because RustBlast stops working when the surface dries.
