June 15, 20169 yr comment_3756 I'm painting a piece of metal with Rust Seal. It has threads where I have to bolt the piece to a machine. I don't want the threads to get coated in Rust Seal where I can't use it anymore. Any recommendations with how I can prevent this from happening? I'm assuming there is something I can put on the threads where the Rust Seal won't adhere to but not real sure. June 17, 20169 yr comment_3759 RustSeal does not stick to grease, so if you grease up the threads. RustSeal will not stick even if you get some on the threads. Please check out the complete RustSeal Directions and let us know if you have any additional questions.
