March 29, 201610 yr comment_3632 I'm using your three step process for the rust seal on some metal. The piece I'm painting is extremely rusty. How long can I soak it in rust blast? Will it hurt anything if it's to long? March 31, 201610 yr comment_3639 The first thing to do is to wire wheel the piece to get rid of the loose flaky rust. Then clean the piece with KBS Klean. After that, etch the piece with RustBlast. You should allow the piece to stay wet with the RustBlast for a minimum of 30 minutes but for heavily rusted areas, 1-2 hours would be better. Please review the RustBlast Directions and let us know if you have any additional questions.
