“Glass bead blasted the entire surface. Two thin coats of XTC Zinc Primer 24 hrs. apart. Then Two coats of XTC Stainless Steel paint 24 hrs. apart. I then used some Black for the handle, Red for the vents and Flame Blue for the trim & drawers. I'm tickled with the end product and look forward to many many years of maintenance free service. “I am working on a frame-off restoration 1968 Jeep CJ5. The frame was sandblasted then coated with two coats of KBS RustSeal applied with a 2" brush. "I wire wheeled the entire tub, used the three stage Chassis kit Chassis Paint Kit - KBS All-In-One Chassis Kit - KBS Coatings - prewash, metal prep, then applied paint with a brush/roller,.. I painted the chassis, tub (inside & out), fenders, hood, bumpers and windshield frame.. The main thing with this type of paint is to do ALL of the prep work, however painstaking it may be, and READ the instructions twice before starting. “Finished my fuel tank this past weekend and all went well. I had first started with cleaning the tank and welding a few holes up in my 44 gallon aluminum tank. I do have to say that this all took a matter of weeks to complete because of proper drying and work schedule. The process was very straight forward. I couldn't believe how well the Gold Standard coated the inside of the tank with multiple baffles in the tank. I then painted the exterior with gloss black. “Had my Ford 6G high output alternator rebuilt, and wanted to refinish it. Regular spray paint just do not hold up under the hood. I tried Rustseal Safety Blue, as it was close to Ford blue. “I used RustSeal to paint the area around my CNC machinery in January 2008. Two coats, and nothing else on top. I cleaned and prepped the oily floor per KBS instructions. "I purchased in November but was finally able to put the stuff on today. I bought the Cavity Coater with spray gun and 36" wand. This process went so much smoother than expected. Once I figured out the psi and the nozzle without the wand it was kind of fun. Customer service has been great! I called 3 different times and each time has been very pleasant, informative and helpful. I asked about regulator settings for the spray gun and set it up at 55psi. Worked great. Time will tell if the Cavity Wax stands the test. I am optimistic to say the least. “I am a 42 y/o female who have never painted a vehicle before but after receiving prices over $10,000 for what I wanted, I did it myself with a little help from my husband. I used it on my YJ Jeep using a chameleon paint powder which was green/blue/purple. My husband bought me a spray gun for the air compressor and after wet sanding, primer and black base coats I used KBS clear gloss and added my chameleon powder and as I begin to spray you could see the color changing flake pop. “I am restoring a55 2nd series Chevy pick up. First I mechanically removed the heavy scale with a wire wheel. Then washed everything with KBS Klean, at a 10 to 1 mix. It worked great and cleaned all oil and grease residue,I rinsed and let it dry. Then came the RustBlast, I sprayed it on, kept the parts wet and the rust disappeared, when I was happy with the result, I rinsed and let dry. Now all part had a zinc phosphate coating. Then I applied 2 thin coats of rust seal. This stuff is tuff and dries hard and encapsulates the steel. I don't see how it could ever rust again. Great products yield great results!” -Tony M.

Customer Tip: "I found something that works awesome with KBS Klean and RustBlast. It's called a Nyalox brush. It's like those wire wheel brushes you use with a drill, but it's much better for this application. I used the fine grade brush at 1500rpm with KBS Klean and that alone cleaned up most of the rust!I used it with RustBlast and scrubbed for about 2 minutes, it pretty much made the surface perfect!"
