June 17, 20169 yr comment_3763 I have a metal railing that is on my front porch. Can I paint your Motor Coater on this metal railing. I really like one of the colors. If this is a good application how should I prepare the surface? June 17, 20169 yr comment_3764 This is a very common and ideal application for Motor Coater because of all of the color choices. For an exterior application like this, wire wheel all of the loose flaky paint and rust, clean the entire railing with KBS Klean, etch any bare metal spots with RustBlast, apply 2 coats of RustSeal and then apply 1 or more coats of Motor Coater that is the color that you desire.
