March 29, 201610 yr comment_3630 Can I (or should I) use a 2K primer on my engine before Motor Coater or does it adhere best straight to metal after Rustblast? Also, are there any problems topcoating with a 2K Clear? March 29, 201610 yr comment_3631 You can use a 2K Primer before Motor Coater if you want, but it is not necessary. Motor Coater will stick extremely well to the prepped engine. You can top coat Motor Coater with a 2K Clear, but we recommend waiting for 7 days until you have a complete and full cure of the Motor Coater. Please review the Motor Coater Directions and let us know if you have any additional questions. March 30, 201610 yr comment_3636 Yes, you can apply a 2K Clear to Motor Coater after Motor Coater has cured for 7 days or more. You will not need to scuff the Motor Coater. Please let us know if that helps and if you have any additional questions.
