When can I apply Body filler or glaze over Numetal? March 26, 201610 yr comment_3629 You can sand NuMetal as soon as it is hard enough to sand, but it would be a good idea to wait 12 hours before apply paint on the NuMetal. You can apply body filler and/or glaze over NuMetal when it has been cured for 12 hours and scuffed with 300 grit.
