February 12, 201610 yr comment_3527 Yes, Absolutely. DiamondFinish Clear was formulated to be a Direct to Metal clear coat as well as a clear coat for going over a base coat. DiamondFinish Clear can also be applied to ferrous metals and non-ferrous metals including Aluminum, Alloys, Brass, Chrome and Copper. Clear Coating Bare Metals: For best results, metals should be freshly polished or sanded to the finish required and then thoroughly cleaned with KBS Klean at a dilution rate of 10 to 1 with warm water (10% strength) with the use of a soft non-abrasive cleaning pad. Keep cleaning times to a minimum for non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, copper, and brass. Rinse with water and dry in a way that minimizes any water stains. Please review the DiamondFinish Clear Directions and let us know if you have any additional questions.
