Tom H
I'm painting the engine and part of the frame on my motorhome. I used motor coater on the engine and rust seal on the frame. The temps were in the 70s when I put the first coat on. I'm in Michigan, it's November. The forecast is showing highs in the mid 40s for as far as I can see. I need to put a 2nd coat on so I can get everything back together before winter. What will happen if I put the 2nd coat on with temps in the mid 40s? KBS Coatings
When the surface and ambient temperature are too cold, you run the risk of poor adhesion. What are you applying as far as second coats? RustSeal? Motor Coater?
Tom H
Both, motor coater on the engine and rust seal on the frame.
KBS Coatings
Thank you for the pictures. When the surface and ambient temperature are too cold, you run the risk of poor adhesion. But desperate times call for desperate measures, so do the best you possible can to get the surface and air temperature as close to 50F when doing the actual application.
