pcpl Posted May 14, 2022 Report Posted May 14, 2022 Can I use this on my Fiberglass pool. I drained the pool down to have some work done on it and when the surface dried it was all faded out. Can I use this to bring back the shine and protect the finish from the chlorine and salt water pool? If so would I need to prep the surface first and how. Do you thing it would need 1 or two coats? Do you think it would be too slippery to walk up the steps or bottom surface? Quote
KBS Coatings Posted May 16, 2022 Report Posted May 16, 2022 Yes, you can clear coat a fiberglass pool with DiamondFinish Clear. To prep: Take some KBS Klean and a green scotch brite pad and scrub the entire surface. After rinsing, please let the surface get bone dry (this is critical). Then apply at least two coats of DiamondFinish Clear. Always apply thin coats and never heavy coats. You can add 100% dry silica sand to DiamondFinish Clear to produce a textured surface. Please be sure to look over the complete directions for DiamondFinish Clear. Please let us know if that helps and if you have any additional questions. Quote
