April 2, 20224 yr comment_5463 DiamondFinish Clear is designed to be used to clear over a quality base coat. It is highly unlikely that the coatings chemistry of your base coat is the same as DiamondFinish Clear, so we would not recommend that. We recommend using DiamondFinish Clear as your clear coat for your base coat. Please let us know if that helps and if you have any additional questions.
