Can I mix diamond finish clear with my base coat to spray?

Wondering if I can mix diamond finish clear in the gun with my pre-mixed base coat color to spray some motorcycle fairings?

DiamondFinish Clear is designed to be used to clear over a quality base coat. It is highly unlikely that the coatings chemistry of your base coat is the same as DiamondFinish Clear, so we would not recommend that. We recommend using DiamondFinish Clear as your clear coat for your base coat.
