Diamond Finish on Rock Chipped Bike Frame

AMT

Recommended Posts

I would like to use DiamondFinish Clear to fill in small (<pencil eraser) rock chips that have have gone down to bare metal. The chips are starting to rust. The frame has a nice clear coated light green metallic automotive paint job that would be difficult to touch up with touch up paint imo. My plan is to coat only the bare metal chipped areas with a small applicator brush and try to avoid the surrounding painted surfaces. Any tips or advice on how to accomplish this?

Thanks,

Aaron

This sounds very plausible. Clean the small areas with KBS Klean. Don't worry as the KBS Klean will not affect the paint and will actually clean it up as well. Let the surface get bone dry. Apply DiamondFinish Clear to the small bare metal spots. Always apply in thin coats and never heavy coats. 24 hours after the final coat, you can cut and buff as needed to blend everything in together. Please follow the DiamondFinish Clear Directions as you do your project.

Please let us know if that helps and reach out if you have any additional questions.
