February 22, 20224 yr comment_5432 Hello, I have sealed a 5-gallon snowmobile tank, but I still have a few leaks presumably from the holes being too large for the tank sealer to work. Other than these leaks, the tank seal appears to be well bonded and otherwise OK. I have subsequently sealed those leaks with the KBS 2-part epoxy. My question is whether I can apply a second coat of tank seal, and if so, what surface prep is recommended. As the tank has seen nothing but water, can I simply apply a 2nd coat? February 22, 20224 yr comment_5433 You can coat over Tank Sealer with more Tank Sealer if you do the following: 1) Clean well with KBS Klean as needed. If you just put water in there, then you can skip this step. 2) Pour KBS Fusion SEP in the tank. Roll around. Get all sides evenly coated with no puddling. Then drain out excess. Let cure overnight. 3) Do the Tank Sealer Step. Please let us know if that helps and if you have any additional questions.
