February 21, 20224 yr comment_5430 Hello, I have fiberglass bodywork that I am currently about to cover with blacktop, let it cure, then cover with diamond 1K. I am wondering what, if any, sanding recommendation there is for the blacktop. My instinct is to give it a 600 grit wet sand before applying the clear coat, but I have never worked with KBS products before. I am also wondering how many coats of blacktop and clearcoat are recommended, I was planning to do 2 coats of each by brush. Thank you. February 21, 20224 yr comment_5431 600 grit to fully cured BlackTop is great to smooth out the surface and then apply DiamondFinish Clear. You can sand DiamondFinish Clear with 1000-2000 between coats as needed as well. Please let us know if that helps and if you have any additional questions.
