Thinner

Featured Replies

Yes, Tank Sealer can be thinned with KBS #1 Thinner or Xylene. Best practice is not to go any more than 10%.

Please let us know if that helps and if you have any additional questions.

LOL, Yes!  I just finished the Jerry can and used xylene to clean up. I also didn't think 8 oz was enough for the tank....but I wasted about 2 oz because I added it to the tank pour and that is about how much I have drained out....so, 8 oz was enough for the job and I have painted all around the seams of the tank as well. My other experiment with God Sealer on top of two treated metal spots on another tank that is coated with Kreem will have to have some time to tell if it works or not.  But again, for cleanup, the xylene works so fast that I was amazed.

Done with two Jerry cans....one stripped and lined, the other, touched up...three spots (6 sq inches total) that I need to inspect then test. The latter had Kreem finish which had only a few small sections, so I cleaned, then etched them and painted two coats with the little brush you sent with the kit. Will test them both with water next week and gas the week after that.
