November 1, 20214 yr comment_5390 Using Diamond clear coat on fiberglass boat. The old gel coat or clear coat is chalky in a lot of places. I am planning on sanding with 600 to 800 grit wet sanding. my big question is do I need to get all the old chalky finish off before applying Diamond clear coat Link to comment https://success.kbs-coatings.com/topic/2962-using-on-fiberglass/ Share on other sites Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 November 3, 20214 yr comment_5391 It is always best to remove all the old chalked up clear coat so that chalky surface does not cloud the DiamondFinish Clear. Please let us know if that helps and if you have any additional questions.
