June 12, 20214 yr comment_5322 Howdy! I just completed the KBS Klean step from the three-part tank sealing kit I ordered for my boats aluminum fuel tank. Its amazing how good it looks already! before I commit to the coating process by going forward with the Acid Etch, I wanted to share my concern about the coating clogging up the pick-up tube, primarily where there is minimal clearance between the tube and the tank bottom... what recommendations do you have to prevent this from being a problem? Best I can tell, the pick-up tube is not readily removable. June 14, 20214 yr comment_5323 Keep the pick up tube and the space below the pick-up tube open by using pipe cleaners that you can find at your local hobby supply store. Put the pipe cleaners in the tube and deep enough that it keeps the space open between the pick-up tube and the tank. Keep the pipe cleaners in there until the Tank Sealer has stopped moving inside the tank but before the Tank Sealer has fully cured in the tank. Does that make sense? Please let us know if that helps and if you have any additional questions.
