ramos972
On the spray gun you guys provide. do I put a regulator to the gun and if yes how much pressure? I am looking to purchase it for my trunk and floor plan kit. Also would this be good to use with the rust seal and also should I use it for the rust blast as well or other products you recommend. KBS Coatings
Because most people already have spray guns, at this time, we do not sell spray guns. However, we do sell the Pre-Val Sprayer for small hard to reach or touch up areas and we sell the UnderSeal Spray Gun and Probe which can be used for the inside of cavities. Please provide a link to the spray gun you are looking to purchase and we can assist you with your questions. In general, these are the guidelines for spraying RustSeal: FOLLOW ALL CAUTION & WARNING NOTICES WHEN SPRAYING. ALWAYS WEAR AN AIR SUPPLIED RESPIRATOR: NIOSH/MSHA approved organic vapor particulate respirator. Spray pressure of 35-45 psi (250-330kpa) for siphon/pot guns and 25-35psi (170-250kpa) for gravity/top container guns. As a general rule of thumb, we recommend a 1.4-1.5 tip size. Thinning is not generally required but if needed 5%-10% is normally adequate. Use KBS #1 Thinner only which is a slow evaporating solvent. Do not reduce RustSeal with lacquer thinner. Also remember to clean your spray gun immediately after using RustSeal. We are looking forward to your reply and assisting you further. Thanks for contacting KBS Coatings. ramos972
I am thinking about the undersea spray gun and probe. so will this gun not be used for painting?
KBS Coatings
The UnderSeal Spray Gun and Probe is perfect for spraying RustSeal into the inside of boxed frames, door panels, rocker panels, etc. Perfect for undercoating all of those hard-to-reach areas. If that is what you want to do, then this is the perfect choice. If you are looking to spray RustSeal on surfaces other than that, please grab an HVLP Spray Gun from your local hardware store, car supply store or auto body supply store. Please let us know if that helps and if you have any additional questions.
