March 3, 201610 yr comment_3580 The XTC Primer provides the rust protection, so it is best not skip the XTC Primer if you are desiring rust protection. Than apply the XTC over the XTC Primer if you desire a color other than the gray primer. RustBlast is an awesome acid etch that leaves behind some zinc phosphate on the surface that is designed for temperatures of less than 600F.
