Painting My Frame

I am planning on painting my frame in the spring. I am wanting a nice glossy finish. I was wondering what would be the best way to go about this? I was looking at the Blacktop with the DiamondFinish clear. Can it be Sprayed out of a HVLP gravity fed paint gun?

After you have prepped the frame using KBS Klean and RustBlast, apply 2 coats of RustSeal. Then you can apply BlackTop in Gloss Black and if desired, you can clear coat over the BlackTop with DiamondFinish Clear. The DiamondFinish Clear over the BlackTop will make it more glossy.

There are three effective ways to topcoat RustSeal effectively so that the coatings bond & fuse together.

1) Apply your BlackTop once the second or final coat of RustSeal is dry-to-the-touch and does not leave a fingerprint (usually 3-10 hours depending on temperature and humidity).

2) Let the second or final coat of RustSeal fully cure (at least 24 hours), scuff the RustSeal with 300 grit, then apply BlackTop.

3) Let the second or final coat of RustSeal fully cure (at least 24 hours), dust the RustSeal with Fusion Self-Etching Primer, let the Fusion cure for 30 minutes, then apply BlackTop.

You can feel free to choose the method that will work for you and do the same for putting the DiamondFinish Clear over BlackTop.
