January 18, 201610 yr comment_3484 Can KBS MAXX Clear be applied directly to clean, sandblasted metal? I am looking for a clear sealer to apply to an old steel boiler that has been sand blasted. I do not want to change or add any color but want to protect it from rust. January 18, 201610 yr comment_3485 Yes, KBS MAXX Clear can be applied over sandblasted metal as long as the sand was clean (not recycled) and you blow the surface off with clean air before applying the KBS MAXX Clear. It is very common for KBS MAXX Clear to be sprayed over metal because it comes in a flat finish as well as a satin or gloss finish.
