December 13, 201510 yr comment_3455 I'm planning to build a 1951 Studebaker Pick Up Truck. It was an old farm truck and for a farm truck the body has some dents, some rusted away panels and rust. It was a good deal so I snatched it up. Just trying to get some money together and get started on it. My question was I wanted to stop the rust from continuing to eat the metal away. Should I get the every thing sandblasted to remove the existing rust and then coat it with some rust inhibitors and continue to store it until I can get some money together to start working on it. If I use the KBS Products to protect the metal, how easy is it to re-work those panels? I figure it will be a 5 year project. Anybody have any suggestions? December 13, 201510 yr comment_3457 That looks like a really fun project. Congrats! If you sandblast and and put 2 coats of RustSeal down (any color), you can come back years later and top coat the RustSeal by simply dusting the cured RustSeal with Fusion Self-Etch Primer. Please let us know if that helps and if you have any additional questions.
