You can thin DiamondFinish Clear with acetone, but acetone flashes off very quickly making it not the ideal reducer, so we always recommend KBS #1 Thinner, which is a slower evaporating solvent blend.

When spraying, thin/reduce DiamondFinish Clear with KBS #1 Thinner or Xylene ONLY and 10%-15% is normally adequate. DiamondFinish Clear can be thinned up to 30%.

Cleaning Diamond finish with xylene to spray out of a cup gun. Will it daw the high gloss finish any? -- No. Xylene will not affect the gloss level of DiamondFinish Clear.
