November 29, 201411 yr comment_3089 Will DF clear coat bond to epoxy resins? I am about to clear coat the inside of my restored boat and wondering if I spray, what size tip do I need to use and do I need to purchase thinner to spray? November 30, 201411 yr comment_3090 Yes, DiamondFInish Clear will bond to epoxy resins. For prep: Clean surface with KBS Klean diluted 10 parts warm water to 1 part KBS Klean. Scuff with 600-1200 grit sandpaper and repeat cleaning process. Rinse & allow to thoroughly dry. When spraying DiamondFinish Clear, thinning 10%-15% is normally adequate. DiamondFinish can be thinned up to 30%. Use KBS #1 Thinner or Xylene ONLY. You can use a 1.4 or 1.5 tip. Spray pressure of 35-45 psi, 250-330 kpa for siphon/pot guns and 25-35psi, 170-250 kpa for gravity/top container guns. Please be sure to read the complete directions for DiamondFinish Clear HERE. Thank you for choosing KBS Coatings!
