thegoaltender 1
I will be sealing the split tank for my 95 Harley Fatboy. There are multiple small openings on each tank (vapor, fuel transfer hose between the two, etc). How do I prevent these opening from being sealed closed when lining the tanks? KBS Coatings 14
It usually works to take long pipe cleaners and use them to keep the openings open while sealing the tank. Once you have drained the excess Tank Sealer out according to the Tank Sealer Directions, you can safely remove the pipe cleaner leaving your openings free and clear. Please let us know if that helps and if you have additional questions.

myhilo 0
Dear KBS admin, Do you mean that the tank sealer is so viscous or thick or has such surface tension or some other property that the pipe cleaners block the tank sealer from adhering to the inside of tubing which is sealed by inserting pipe cleansers long ways into the tubing, using as many as it takes to fill the opening on the inside or the tank prior to applying the coating? KBS Coatings 14
If the tank is etched well with RustBlast, it is a combination of viscosity and surface tension. Please let us know if that helps and if you have any additional questions.
