Diamond Clear on Chrome

Featured Replies

Im buying some new chome wheels and was wondering if I can use Diamond Clear to protect my new chome wheels.

If so what is the best application method.

Thanks

Yes, you can use DiamondFinish Clear on your new chrome wheels. This is a very common application and an ideal application because of the toughness and durability of the DiamondFinish Clear.

Here is the surface prep that you will want to do:

For best results, metals should be freshly polished or sanded to the finish required and then thoroughly cleaned with a high evaporation solvent such a Butyl Acetate, MEK or Acetone. Continue to clean with KBS Klean at a dilution rate of 10 to1 with warm water (10% strength) with the use of a soft non-abrasive cleaning pad. ALWAYS USE PROTECTIVE GLOVES AND EYE WEAR. Keep cleaning times to a minimum for non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, copper, and brass. Rinse with water and dry in a way that minimizes any water stains.

The complete directions for DiamondFinish Clear can be found HERE.
