August 11, 201312 yr comment_2820 Hello, I'm planning to strip the paint job off my new car to expose the bare metal, then apply the DiamondFinish Clear Coat as the only and final coating to achieve that "bare metal" look (as attached photo). Will the DiamondFinish Clear Coat protect the base metal from rust like "RustSeal"? August 11, 201312 yr comment_2821 Yes, the DiamondFinish Clear is a moisture cured urethane and will prevent RustSeal in a similar fashion as RustSeal. It is important when using the DiamondFinish Clear for this purpose that you get at least 2-3 coats on the surface. Please be sure to check out the complete direction for DiamondFinish Clear.
