June 26, 201312 yr comment_2785 I'm looking for a very low sheen finish but don't know whether to buy the satin or flat product? Is the flat truly flat or has a very low sheen? What about the satin? How can I tell without purchasing and taking a chance? Also, can I apply this paint directly onto aluminum or fiberglass? Thanks! June 27, 201312 yr comment_2786 The Flat Black BlackTop is truly flat. The OEM Satin Black is a satin black roughly 75% gloss. For aluminum, clean the aluminum with KBS Klean and then etch with RustBlast before applying the BlackTop to achieve maximum adhesion. For fiberglass, clean the fiberglass with KBS Klean and if it is really slick, scuff the fiberglass with 300 grit. Then apply BlackTop.
