June 25, 201312 yr comment_2780 Hi, I'm looking for a low-emissivity finish for stainless steel at high temps (research application). XTC looks like it should do the trick - do you happen to have an emissivity number for the aluminum color? (it is in fact aluminum paint, not just metallic-colored, correct?) Any tips for painting stainless would be handy as well. Thank you! June 26, 201312 yr comment_2784 The XTC has an emissivity value of .5. Yes, the XTC aluminum does have aluminum flake in it. Here are some tips for your interior application: 1) Sandblast 2) Wipe clean with KBS Klean 3) Apply 2 coats of XTC minimum and make sure you temperature cure. Other then that, just make sure you follow the directions that can be found HERE. Please let us know if that helps and if you have additional questions.
