June 5, 201312 yr comment_2768 RustBlast is an essential step in the KBS 3 Step Rust Prevention System because the RustBlast etches that new steel which promotes great adhesion by the RustSeal. As you probably know, new steel is smooth and can be a difficult surface for paint adhesion. The RustBlast takes care of this issue by etching the surface creating an ideal surface profile so the RustSeal sticks well. Please let us know if that helps and if you have additional questions.
