Nathan
I will be starting soon on restoring a 1962 Ford F100 unibody pickup. I will be using the chassis kit (Black) on the frame and want to use it on the Engine compartment. I want to use Diamond finish clear over it in engine compartment. Can I use a Silver metal flake in the clear coat without messing it up? Thanks Nathan Quote Link to comment https://success.kbs-coatings.com/topic/1581-metal-flake-in-diamondfinish-clear/ Share on other sites
KBS Coatings
Yes, you can use "dry" silver metal flake in the DiamondFinish Clear. It is best to get a coat down of the DiamondFinish Clear that does not have any flake in it, then another coat with the flake in it. Check out the directions for DiamondFinish Clear here: http://www.kbs-coatings.com/diamondfinish-clearcoat-info.html Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
