October 3, 201213 yr comment_2179 I have a leak in my boat fuel tank and the tank (30 gal) is below deck and can't be removed. I plan on cutting a hole in the boat deck at about the center of the fuel tank and then cut a hole in the top of the tank. Can I apply the Gold Standard tank sealer with a brush as I can't figure any other way to do this job? After the job is done I will put a aluminum plate on the tank and a round deck hatch on the fiberglass deck. If this works out it would save about $3000. to have the boat cut open and a new tank installed. Do you think this will fix my problem? May 7, 201313 yr comment_2734 Yes, you can do all three step of the KBS 3 Step Tank Sealing System through an access hole in the top of the tank. Make sure you still clean the inside of the tank with KBS Klean and etch the tank with RustBlast before applying the Tank Sealer with a brush. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
