Fred T Posted June 20, 2011 Report Share Posted June 20, 2011 The color I would like to use for my entire engine is Flame Blue which is not an engine choice but it is a high temperature paint for exhaust manifolds. Q. Can I use Hi-Temp Flame Blue on the engine in lieu of Motor Coater engine paint? KBS Coatings Posted June 20, 2011 Report Share Posted June 20, 2011 Painting your engine in Flame Blue Hi-Temp should work for you as long as you can do the appropriate temperature cure which allows the paint to get to its most durable state. I would recommend using the Hi-Temp Zinc Primer (http://www.kbs-coatings.com/hi-temp-primer.html) first.
