Hi-Temp Flame Blue as Engine Paint

Featured Replies

The color I would like to use for my entire engine is Flame Blue which is not an engine choice but it is a high temperature paint for exhaust manifolds.

Q. Can I use Hi-Temp Flame Blue on the engine in lieu of Motor Coater engine paint?

Painting your engine in Flame Blue Hi-Temp should work for you as long as you can do the appropriate temperature cure which allows the paint to get to its most durable state. I would recommend using the Hi-Temp Zinc Primer (http://www.kbs-coatings.com/hi-temp-primer.html) first. And also make sure you do the Temperature Curing as described in our directions for Hi-Temp (http://www.kbs-coatings.com/hi-temp.html)

You can find Hi-Temp Directions here: http://www.kbs-coatings.com/hi-temp-info.html
