StuartRarity
After having treated areas for rust and used KBS Self-Etch Primer, it may be some time before I am able to prepare the metal for the bodywork build and finishing coats. To stop any moisture getting into the Self-Etch primer, is there a Epoxy Sealer that you would recommend that bonds well to the Self-Etch and that will not react with its acidity ?? Cheers for any help ... Quote Link to comment https://success.kbs-coatings.com/topic/1456-epoxy-sealer-onto-kbs-self-etch-primer/ Share on other sites
KBS Coatings
The Fusion Self-Etching Primer is not really designed to be a treatment for rust. At this point, it would be best to apply 2 coats of RustSeal. You can find complete directions for RustSeal application here: http://www.kbs-coatings.com/RustSeal-Information-and-Instructions_ep_38-1.html We also have very helpful instructional videos for the application of RustSeal that you can watch online for free here: http://www.kbs-coatings.com/KBS-Videos_ep_90-1.html In addition, we also have a Flow Chart for the application of RustSeal here: http://www.kbs-coatings.com/Flow-Chart--RustSeal-on-Steel_ep_87-1.html We also have our How-To Section which has two series of common step-by-step procedures for the application of RustSeal found here: http://www.kbs-coatings.com/Howie-How-To_ep_44-1.html And before you begin your project, it is always a great idea to familiarize yourself with our RustSeal Fix-It Guides found here: http://www.kbs-coatings.com/fix-it-guide-rustseal.html Quote Link to comment https://success.kbs-coatings.com/topic/1456-epoxy-sealer-onto-kbs-self-etch-primer/#findComment-2441 Share on other sites
