October 27, 201015 yr comment_2073 All interior items on my 69 Mustang have been removed. I'm looking at using painting all exposed metal with rustseal. My question is, will spray adhesive (like 3M) adhere to the rustseal for glueing the headliner and carpet? I'm also planning on using dynamat on the floor, trunk, and underside of the roof, any problems with the dynamat sticking? Will I need to scuff the rustseal before using adhesive? Finally, the body and paint work has been done on the exterior. How careful do I need to be with the aqua clean and rust blast? Any suggestions for doing proper prep on the interior without harming the exterior? Thanks in advance for any help. October 28, 201015 yr comment_2405 Yes. Adhesive should stick to RustSeal. After the second coat of RustSeal has completely cure, scuff it up and apply your adhesive. If you splash AquaKlean or RustBlast on the exterior, just make sure you wipe it clean with clear water as quickly as possible.
