ridetheworld
I read the section on Rustseal color choice on the website but I thought I would post the question to be sure I dont misunderstand. Is there a real durablity difference between the different colors? And if so, could you please elaborate? My application will be on an indoor high traffic motorcycle hydraulic lift, so it would have the usual tools, parts, and mild chemicals exposure on it. I'm partial to the gloss black but would gladly sacrifice color, for durablity. The lift is 1/4" steel diamond plate that measures 7'x2', and I'd like to coat the top with 2-3 coats,( is 2 coats enough?) and the bottom with one coat. Will a pint will cover 56 sq ft? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
KBS Coatings
All RustSeal is made with the same resin, so it is all extremely durable and tough. If you are looking for better abrasion resistance, you could go with the Galvanized Steel, the Oxide Red, the Guardian Green of the Silver colors. But like I said, all of the colors are very durable and very tough.
