March 10, 201412 yr comment_2958 Our coatings do have a 2-5 mil dry film thickness depending on the number of coats applied, so we would not recommend apply it to the threads. To keep our coatings from sticking to the threads, simply apply some grease and the coatings will not adhere to those areas. You can coat an area that has been bolted together because you will be able to put a wrench on it and have enough torque to crack the bolt or nut free should you need to do so. Please let us know if that answers your questions and if you have any additional questions.
