Boat Painter
Can the Diamond Clear be applied by rolling vertical and then tipped off horizontally very lightly with a brush? This is a very common technique when painting boats. Quote Link to comment https://success.kbs-coatings.com/topic/7201-roll-and-tip/ Share on other sites
KBS Coatings
Yes, DiamondFinish Clear is very commonly rolled and tipped. Also, DiamondFinish Clear is very commonly used on boats. The mohair roller applies the bulk of DiamondFinish Clear, while the brush "tips" the rolled on DiamondFinish Clear by gently dragging the excess and eliminating any "orange peel" or stippling texture left by the roller. This teamwork-intensive process allows for high-quality clear finishes using DiamondFinish Clear comparable to spraying, but with minimal equipment. Be sure to carefully read and follow DiamondFinish Clear Application Directions found here -> https://www.kbs-coatings.com/diamondfinish-clear-directions Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
