January 29, 201610 yr comment_3503 Hi, Loved your videos. I want to paint Corvette C6 OEM aluminum rims, which are now still like new. They are silver, and I want to paint them High-Gloss Black. 1) Can you tell me if you have a product to recommend? 2) Will I be better off with a base and then a clear coat, or do you have a one stage item? 3) Can I spray with a low priced HLVP? January 29, 201610 yr comment_3508 The best way to coat the painted aluminum rims is to clean the rims really well with KBS Klean. Then dust a coating of Fusion Self-Etch Primer. Then spray 2 or more coats of KBS MAXX Pitch Black on the rims. Yes, you can spray KBS MAXX with a low priced HVLP. KBS MAXX is ready to spray, but if you want to, you can thin with MAK or Acetone. Please review the KBS Klean Directions, the Fusion Directions, and the KBS MAXX Directions and let us know if you have any additional questions.
