JohnC
I want to seal a weeping 50 gal diesel fuel tank in my sailboat. Can I just paint/roll this on the entire inside? The tank can not be turned to spread the sealer so it must be sealed in place. KBS Coatings
Yes, you can roll on the Tank Sealer on the entire inside surface of the tank while it is in your boat. It is very important to prep the tank first, so make sure you clean the entire inside of the tank with KBS Klean and then etch the tank with RustBlast. You can use a wet/dry vac to get the cleaning/etch solutions and rinse water out of the tank. It is also very important that the tank is bone dry before you roll on the tank sealer. It would be best to roll on a few coats making sure you coat the entire inside of the tank. You can do the coats 8 hours or so apart from each other. Please review the Tank Sealer Complete Directions. If you have any additional questions, please let us know. Thanks for contacting KBS Coatings!
