rust in tank

KBS Coatings

Recommended Posts

Yes, you would have to remove the tank to be able to clean, prep, and seal to tank properly. The sealer does just that, seal the remaining or existing rust to keep it from clogging your filter.

Here's a link to a common step by step tank sealing. This is for a motorcycle but the same procedure applies to all tanks: http://www.kbs-coatings.com/Howie-How-To--Sealing-a-Gas-Tank_ep_51-1.html
